Christopher Bryant, PhD

Executive Vice President, Chief Scientific Officer

Dr. Christopher Bryant brings to his role as APP’s Executive Vice President, Chief Scientific Officer more than 19 years in R&D management, specializing in biologics development from discovery through product launch.  At APP, Dr. Bryant is responsible for the functional groups within New Product Development and Technical Services, including Process Development, Analytical Methods Development, and Regulatory Affairs.

Prior to joining APP in 2009, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at ProMetic BioTherapeutics, a global biopharmaceutical company active in therapeutic drug development for the treatment of hematological and nephrological disorders and cancer.  His previous experience includes work at Aventis Behring, Centeon, Armour Pharmaceutical Company, and Boehringer Mannheim Corporation.

Dr. Bryant holds several patents and has been published internationally in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks.  He has also been an invited speaker and presenter at medical conferences and symposiums throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, India and Singapore.

He received his PhD in Chemistry from the University of California, San Diego.  After receiving his PhD he became a post-doctoral research fellow at Eli Lilly & Company.
